The Oxford Ski Company's website gets an upgrade

One of our long-standing clients, The Oxford Ski Company, has this month launched its new and improved website. As the UK’s largest established luxury ski travel agent, The Oxford Ski Company enjoyed three successful years with their original Gibe-built website, before deciding to upgrade further.

The design of the website maintains a sleek, contemporary feel, showcasing The Oxford Ski Company’s stunning chalets, but it is now also fully responsive across all devices; desktop, tablet and mobile. The home page includes stunning video banners to enhance the company’s premium proposition.

There are also many changes behind the scenes, with the website being moved to Umbraco CMS’s latest version, 7. This provides the The Oxford Ski Company’s team with a fast and more responsive back-office CMS, for quicker content authoring and page loading. The new website has also been written on the same code base as its sister company, Oxford Private Travel, ensuring greater efficiency when maintaining both sites. The website now incorporates all property information, as opposed to having to retrieve the data from The Oxford Ski Company’s back-end system, making property look-ups quicker and snappier.

From a marketing viewpoint, as standard, all SEO equity has been protected and carried over to the new site, ensuring no loss of traffic. Its inspiration and blog content has been updated to be more engaging and search-engine friendly, too. The site is also seamlessly integrated with Mailchimp for newsletter sign-ups and contact requests.

The Oxford Ski Company, Oxford Private Travel and The Luxury Travel Collection websites are part of the Oxford Travel Collection, exclusively designed and developed by the Gibe team.
