Microsoft Commerce server

Microsoft Commerce Server is a powerful enterprise level ecommerce system, easily supporting tens of thousands of product lines. It's a very secure and robust platform which gives complete flexibility over the look and feel of the front end ecommerce store.
Microsoft Commerce Server can be integrated with Microsoft Sharepoint as it's content management system, or can be built as a standalone site.
Microsoft Commerce Server provides three main tools to manage ecommerce sites; these tools are desktop applications which communicate to the server through a secure web service. The tools are called Catalog Manager, Marketing Manager, Customer and Orders Manager.
Catalog Manager allows you to maintain the product catalogue. Adding, editing and removing products and categories is done through Catalog Manager.
Marketing Manager allows you to manage marketing campaigns on the site. A campaign groups sets of discounts, advertisements and email campaigns. Within Marketing Manager, advertisements can be associated with a discount so that banners and other features can be displayed across the site promoting a discount as well as adding general advertisements such as free shipping.
Customer and Orders Manager allows you to view basket and order information and maintain customer information, such as resetting passwords or viewing a customer’s order history.
Microsoft Commerce Server has granular access permissions allowing different people to be able to maintain different parts of the sites. For example: granting access to update products but not create discounts or advertisements on the site.
