Drupal

Drupal is a PHP based open source CMS system that is a popular CMS system that works well with multiple authors and can be integrated with ecommerce systems such as Magento and Ubercart.
Drupal is a very widely supported CMS, running sites such as The White House (http://www.whitehouse.gov), Popular Science (http://www.popsci.com/), Yahoo! Research (http://research.yahoo.com/) and Greenpeace (http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/).
The Drupal platform is very easy to use, allowing multiple users to edit content using a WYSIWYG editor through a web interface. It has a very simple configuration interface for administrators and content editors allowing for simple and quick management of the site.
The Drupal platform also has a very large catalogue of third party modules which allow sites to add tried and tested functionality relatively quickly. In some cases the functionality required isn’t available from existing modules, in these cases we can custom develop bespoke modules to add this functionality. The modular approach makes the system very flexible allowing new functionality to be added to your site to deliver functionality that is not yet known – therefore future proofing our solutions.

Through its modular architecture Drupal supports a very wide selection of functionality over and above of the minimum you would expect from a CMS system. This includes:

• Sophisticated site search, including spelling suggestions

Community platform
Drupal is also a very capable community platform supporting features such as forums, member networks, on-site private messaging, blogs and social network integration, online user managed groups. This allows users to interact with one another in a number of ways through the site creating online communities within the your site. The site can be integrated with different social networks, allowing many different on and offsite interaction, such as integrating Facebooks Like functionality to ‘like’ any page on the site, showing twitter feeds where the current page is linked to, integrating the site with your facebook page, embedding videos from YouTube and sharing pages on facebook, linked-in, twitter, digg, delicious etc.
