On Sunday we played in the annual Bristol Media 5-a-side tournament and had a fantastic day. After heavy rain on Saturday evening and Sunday morning we weren’t sure what to expect but the sun came out and we had a glorious afternoon.
We were put into pool D with 4 other teams and had a tricky job playing against some much bigger companies with lots more players to choose from. Fortunately we did ourselves proud and battled hard to win the group only conceding 1 goal on our way through to the quarter finals. It was at this point that we came unstuck, playing Smith Williamson – the eventual winners. We lost the game 4-1 and we’re solidly outplayed by a class outfit. This left us free to hit the BBQ and bar and lap up the sun watching the final few games of the tournament.
